Sundials and Mayan Calendars

Hi All

Its been a busy month! But we have some fun news....

Snap! The Sundial App v1.0

We have just released a fun small web-based sundial application on our website. Snap! allows you to select a city then (if the sun is up) it will draw the sundial with appropriate shadows and display the correct solar time for the location. Works through your browser! Snap! is a joint production with Spot-On Sundials www.spot-on-sundials.co.uk

There is also a subscription version, that also shows the UT, zone offset, daylight/summer time offset, the longitude offset, equation of time, solar declination and solar noon. Good if you are into sundials and setting them up.

Mayan Countdown v1.0

Just for fun, we've also added a small Mayan 2012 countdown counter on our website. Only about 600 days until the December 12, 2012 Solstice. Watch Out!

Its a small javascript app, and if you want it for your own website and can do HTML, just let us know and we'll gladly give you a copy in exchange for a link back to our site.

Time Zone Master v1.8

The Free Time Zone Master is still getting a lot of downloads, and with so many places changing their clock laws, its becoming handy for a lot of people. But one thing we have noticed is that many people haven't selected 'Auto Update tz Data' from the options. Without auto-updates, you will miss recent regional clock law changes as they occur. We suggest you run the clocks, right click and ensure that 'Auto Update tz Data' and 'Auto Start' are both enabled.

The pro version is coming along and is still scheduled for July.

Greetings for now, and come say hello in our web forums or start your own blog on our site!
